Meet the Thrive Team - Find Your Therapist in Kelowna, BC
Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision, and finding the right fit matters. Our team is made up of registered clinicians who bring a range of perspectives, areas of focus, and experience to the work.
While each clinician has their own style and training, support at Thrive is grounded in shared values: collaboration, integrity, and deep respect for your pace and process. Therapy here isn't about being fixed or pushed; it's about being supported in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
You're welcome to explore our team below and choose the clinician who feels like the best match. If you're unsure where to start, we can help guide you toward someone who aligns with what you're looking for.
Karis Hand, MSW, RSW — Registered Social Worker
I work with youth (ages 13+) and young adults.
No matter what you do, some quiet voice in the back of your mind keeps telling you it's not enough — you're not smart enough, not pretty enough, not doing life "right" the way everyone else seems to be. You compare yourself constantly, replay conversations, wondering if you said the wrong thing, and feel like you're one mistake away from people seeing the real you and being disappointed. You keep moving, keep doing, keep trying to prove it wrong — but you've been on autopilot for so long that you can't remember the last time you actually stopped to ask yourself how you're doing, or where this feeling even started.
I work with people who carry a deep, persistent sense of not being enough — even when there's no real evidence to back it up. Therapy is one of the only places you're allowed to actually stop: not to fix something quickly and get back to your day, but to slow down enough to look at what's underneath that voice instead of just trying to outrun it. Using a blend of CBT, narrative therapy, and attachment-informed work, we explore where these beliefs took root, build tools for the moments they get loud, and work on relating to yourself with more compassion and less judgment.
My goal is for you to stop measuring your worth against an impossible standard. I want you to be able to make a mistake without spiralling into "I'm not good enough," to hear that inner voice and not automatically believe it, and to slowly start to trust that you're enough as you are — not once you're smarter, prettier, more accomplished, or more put-together. I want therapy to be a pause button on the autopilot: a space to actually look at your life and how you feel in it, instead of just getting through it.
