Fees
Session fees at Thrive Clinical Counselling vary depending on the clinician and service provided. Each clinician’s current rates are listed on their Jane booking profile.
Typical session fees are as follows:
- Individual Counselling (50 minutes) — $150–$170
- Couples Counselling (50 minutes) — $180–$205
- Extended Sessions (80 minutes) — $225–$270
In-person counselling is available in Kelowna, with accessible options for clients in West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, and surrounding Okanagan communities. Secure online therapy is offered throughout British Columbia.
CVAP coverage is available with select clinicians at Thrive. If you have an approved CVAP claim and valid claim number, eligible sessions may be billed directly to the program with no upfront payment required. Please refer to individual clinician profiles for availability and details.
Counselling Coverage & Benefits
Many extended health benefit plans across British Columbia offer coverage for counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Registered Social Worker (MSW). This can help make therapy more accessible and ease some of the financial considerations involved in getting support.
While direct billing is not currently available, clients are provided with detailed receipts after each session, which can typically be submitted to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
Some insurance providers that commonly offer coverage include:
- Pacific Blue Cross
- Green Shield
- Manulife
- Sun Life
- Canada Life
- ClaimSecure
- Empire Life
- GroupHealth, among others
Coverage and reimbursement amounts vary by plan. It’s always a good idea to check directly with your insurance provider to confirm what’s included under your benefits. If helpful, we’re happy to ensure your receipts include everything needed to support the reimbursement process.
Real-Life Benefits of Therapy
Therapy isn’t just about talking — it’s about transforming the way you live, relate, and care for yourself. Clients often report:
- Greater clarity around their thoughts, feelings, and patterns
- Improved boundaries and communication within relationships
- More self-compassion and emotional resilience in difficult moments
- Relief from anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout
- The ability to respond - not react - when challenges arise
Everyone's path is different, and therapy offers you the space to explore yours. Therapy is a space to reflect, grow, and gain momentum in the direction that matters most to you.
